License Details
An Eaton County dog license is required for all dogs that are four (4) months or older on or before June 1. Apply for a new license or renew your current license on or before May 31 each year. Proof of spay or neuter from a certified veterinarian must be provided for the $10 rate. Tags issued after June 1 are $30 unless the animal is newly acquired after July 1. A rabies vaccination certificate from a certified veterinarian is required to license all dogs. Rabies vaccination certificates and proof of spay or neuter documents must be uploaded to this site in order to purchase a license tag. Tags will be sent by US Mail. A valid receipt of your purchase from this site will be considered proof of licensure until your tag is received.

Note: This site is provided for the convenience of Eaton County dog owners. Licenses can also be purchased at the Eaton County Animal Control at 756 Courthouse Drive in Charlotte Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 12:00PM and 1:00PM to 4:00PM daily, and the Eaton County treasurer's office at 1045 Independence Blvd in Charlotte from 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. No returns. Lost tags will be replaced free of charge with proof of purchase.

The treasurer's office cannot inform dog owners when their annual license is due. It is the responsibility of the dog owner to renew or obtain a license on time.
